I awaken to dawn
Early morning dew
Catches my eyes,
I breathe deeply
Inhaling self belief
Exhaling doubt
Songs of hope
Chime in ears.
I am awake
Heart beats wildly
To another rhythm
Healed of wounds
Fresh as new born
Innocence opening
Gradually beautifully
As if its spring.
I am day dreaming,
Visualising light
Illuminated figures
Green energy calming
Surrounded by ancient
Trees on a shady path
Leading me to destiny.
I hear waves crashing
Children’s laughter mingled
With wind chimes,
Opening my eyes
To blue skies
Miles of white sand
Oceans of Aztec blue sea
Inhaling the ambiance,
I see myself
No longer crawling
But free with wings
Taking flight..
My daughter takes
My hand excited
As cast our kite into
Skies giggling, running
Falling in laughter,
It occurs to me
This is all I need.
