Restless Life
by Afegbua Shabban
I was born into nothing
I strived against the existing poverty and hunger
I only overcame sorrow and sadness
My desires were mere thought of frustrated imaginations that hold no significance in the real world.
Gradually, I made enquiries into the unknown on
How will I make it
How far I have starved
How long can I hold on
And I will I go about it
My mind was made up
I am prepared to accommodate any sin
I am prepared to go to any length
I am prepared to live dangerously
Therefore, I forsook God
I embraced the darkness
Oh I was about to disappoint my destiny
What a restless life.
