Jeff Johns
Johns grew up in the Washington D.C. area where he spent much of his time drawing and painting as an artistic outlet. He moved to southern California in 2003, and after working for a wedding photographer was fascinated at the emotion that an image can produce. After the Tsunami hit southeast Asia in 2005 Johns left California and traveled to Thailand where he did recovery work and worked on photography for a few months. Since then he has traveled all over the world doing relief work in the Philippines and recently in Bangladesh while documenting his travels through his camera lens. In May, 2007 Johns began work on his BA from the Brooks Institute School of Visual Journalism. His future plans include traveling to every country in the world while doing volunteer work and taking pictures along the way. He currently resides in Ventura, California with his dog, Bailey.
